The Liberty trounced Connecticut, 90-64. NY finished with a 62.1% field goal percentage in their first game since Hammon's injury. Weatherspoon dished 7 assists with Becky's name written on her shoes, and her teammates stepped up with some seriously impressive scoring -- Robinson had 22 points, Whitmore had 17, and every player scored (except 'Spoon). When Becky was lighting up the boards before her injury, a lot was made of Weatherspoon's scoring (or lack thereof), but she was never in it for the points. She makes the plays and gets the ball to the scorers. A skill that should not be undervalued.
