Extreme prejudice

In a sick turn of events, they are making Pride and Prejudice yet again. Which, you know, I understand. It's a fucking great story. I've read it approximately a billion times (I can be a girl sometimes, okay?), and each time I love it more. Especially now that I have Colin Firth permanently imprinted on my brain as the haughty yet oh-so-hot Mr. Darcy. In the latest edition of P&P, Matthew MacFadyen of MI-5 (aka Spooks) fame plays Mr. Darcy. Now, I think we all know how I feel about MI-5 and Mr. Hottie Scotty MacFadyen. So, while this is somewhat disturbing news, I'm rolling with it. Especially since season two of MI-5 hasn't been released on DVD in the US yet. Dammit. However, what is truly disturbing and completely unforgivable is this: They have cast Keira Knightley as Elizabeth Bennet. This is blasphemy, people. Sacrilege! Chaos! Mayhem! Horror! I don't know how the casting director can sleep at night. I really don't.
