You can run, but you can't hide

Okay, so I cheated. I ran out of town last week before our first real winter weather of the season. (It was late! I wasn't waiting around for that shit!) Seattle? 50s. Periods of rain, periods of sunshine. Not bad. Boston? Periods of snow and rain followed by insane cold, leading to everyone's favorite winter wonder, ice. No, seriously. Ice. Such that, a week after the ice came and I left, my car was still frozen to the driveway. So there I was this morning, ice pick and metal shovel in hand, trying to chip that shit away from my wheels enough that I could careen out of my driveway. No luck. Just as I was about to give up and make myself a bitch to the commuter rail, my neighbor peeks her head out and offers to give me a push. Worth a shot.

Several tire spins and grunts later, my car did, indeed, shoot out of the driveway. Guess who's parking on the street tonight?
