So, I'm innocently reading The Midnight Disease, just like I promised I would, and damn if Flaherty doesn't start talking about the memoir trend which she thinks has extended itself to the web: "Thanks to the Internet, there is even a new variety of continuously updated on-line memoir sometimes called the blog (from Web-log). Thousands of authors simply write their diaries directly onto Web pages for the rest of the world to read. Why do people want to recount their lives? What could it mean to want to share one's worldview with strangers?"
One, this is a shitty memoir, if that's what it is. Two, you're right, I do need to blog today.
