A work of art

We went to the Seattle Art Museum today, and I had to struggle mightily not to compare it to the MFA in Boston. The SAM has its fair share of modern and contemporary art (neither of which I'm a fan of), and we were able to walk pretty much the whole place in a couple of hours. It actually reminded me a bit of Wellesley's art museum, which I loved as a student, because the smallness of scale really allows for an intimacy with the art. Or something. I really don't know what the hell I'm talking about, but I was glad to see Capri Girl by John Singer Sargent, which I loved and hadn't seen before (although according to this site it's owned by the MFA). Wherever it may be, try to see it. It's amazing in person.
