Inner daemons

I finished reading The Golden Compass last night, just in time to watch The Golden Compass today. (When possible, I try to read before I watch. And I only regretted it that one time, with The Last of the Mohicans. Daniel Day Lewis made the storyline 800 times better.) Bygones. The movie was pretty decent, and the book was definitely fun. I may just stop reading adult books altogether and stick with juvenile fiction, instead. Hell, Anne of Green Gables is still one of my go-to books when I'm sick and I need a pick-me-up. (Or Pride and Prejudice. Yes, I am a girl.) Anyway, I had a point, and I'm getting to it: Before we went to the movie, I predicted to J.R. that Max would ask us afterwards about what we thought our daemons would be. Of course, I was right, and a few minutes after the movie ended, we were all pondering it in the car. I couldn't come up with anything because I'm lame, and we then moved on to the ever-popular "What would your patronus be?" and "What superpower would you have?" This is what happens when you hang out with kids, and read their damn books. They expect you to have the imagination you had when you were 12, and don't realize that you are 32 now, and lame.
