Same game, different players

Yesterday, J.R. and I went to see the UW women's basketball team play ASU as part of a Storm season-ticket holder event. It was a little strange being at a college game that didn't involve BC, but the Huskies gave Arizona State a run for their money. Sadly, they couldn't pull off the upset, but I enjoyed the game anyway. And Swoopes was at courtside, which I thought was cool -- but today they announced that they're waiving her, which I understand pragmatically, but I still don't like it. I'll miss seeing her play for the Storm.
