Run, baby, run

I wanted Ann Patchett's Run back when I was running quite a bit, and I was into stories that involved it. (I thought they might help keep me motivated.) I finally finished it last night, and it was a lovely, quiet book. Beautiful writing and a seemingly simple tale of a family, with all the usual complexities that brings. I hadn't read Patchett's more popular Bel Canto, mostly because the storyline doesn't appeal to me. I might try it anyway because I enjoyed her writing so much. And I'm kind of at a loss for what to read next.
