I was told there would be no math on this exam

My Sunday was not nearly as miraculous as my Saturday, though I did get to watch quite a bit of women's basketball, and that always makes me happy. While waiting for the DePaul-Marquette contest to start, I caught the end of the jump-rope championships. (Yeah, I didn't know they televised that sort of thing, either.) There was something about the cheering of the crowd that got to me. Or maybe the earnestness of the kids competing. I don't know what it was, but I got choked up. Over jump-rope. This may be a new sporting low for me.

Of course, it may have had something to do with the simultaneous reading of an article about Terry George's struggles to make Hotel Rwanda. I've come to seriously love Don Cheadle of late, but I can't determine the point of origin. Was is Ocean's Eleven? His stint on ER? Yet another question that remains unanswered. Right up there with: Why doesn't Theo call?
