Loquacious, or an ode to friendship

I had dinner with some friends and their boys last night. Well, it wasn't just dinner: It was six hours of conversation, good food, and sangria. And as I was driving into work this morning, I realized just how special an evening it was. We all got along. Really well. We were ourselves. We laughed. We made fun of each other with abandon. We got to know the boys, and, hopefully at least, we didn't scare them off. All in all, just a wonderful evening. I know I've been far too happy lately (and I apologize), but I have to say it: I have the greatest friends. That's really more important than we realize -- when you bitch about work, or your lack of a social life, or your family and you have someone(s) to bitch to? That's the best thing in the world.
