Life imitates art

Is it just me or is this year beginning to resemble seasons six and seven of the West Wing far too much? I mean, first with the Dems slugging it out for the nomination while the Republican sits pretty. Next, the first daughter getting hitched. If there's a nuclear meltdown in McCain's home state or it turns out Bush has been hiding a major medical problem, it's over, people. It will finally become clear that politics are completely scripted and there's nothing we can do but watch.
