I've always been a reader, but lately I've just been tearing through books. Thanks to the ever-helpful All Consuming, I can tell that I've already read eight books in June, which matches my May total. Before that? I was lucky if I read two books a month. Of course, some of those high numbers are quick reads, like Lean Mean Thirteen. (Evanovich cracks me up.) And none of them are the Bleak House that I keep telling myself I'll pick up.
Still, I worry that I'm going through them all too quickly, that I'm not allowing them to settle in my conscious, to rest awhile in my mind. That maybe I'm not getting anything out of reading them at all -- except some cool stats to blog about.
