To the bitter end

I'm determined to finally finish Book of the Dead, which I started a long time ago (41 weeks to be specific, thank you All Consuming). I mean, sure, by many standards I should just ditch this book because clearly I am not that interested in it, but I just can't. I've read all of the Scarpetta novels thus far, and it just seems wrong to give up now. The problem is that the series has gone on too long, which is pretty much the way I felt once I finished Breaking Dawn -- I mean, really, there's only so far you can go with the teenage vampires in love bit. Bygones. I am holding myself hostage, and I am not allowed to start any other books until I finish Book of the Dead. I can totally do this.
