'Tis the season

I'm back on the East Coast, chillin' with the family, enjoying significant helpings of turkey and mashed potatoes -- you know, the usual. Unbeknownst to me, however, back at my house, J.R. and friends were up to some serious dorktacular shenanigans. I'd like to say this would not have gone on if I were there, but we all know that's not true. I'm more likely than not to arrange my Skittles in rainbow order and then carefully eat them until each color grouping has the same number of Skittles and then methodically make my way through the rainbow of fruit flavors. Bygones. The point is this: Thanksgiving is the awesome.

Another, unrelated note: The Next Three Days is surprisingly good. I mean, I actually had the pounding heart, etc., that is indicative of "shit, what's going to happen next?" I'm not a huge fan of Elizabeth Banks in this movie, but Crowe did a really good job. I was also able to get through both Post Grad and When in Rome, thereby sparing J.R. hours of romantic-comedy watching with me. You're right, I am an awesome girlfriend. (Both were totally worth the free, on-demand viewing, by the way.)

What you do with Skittles, I do with M&Ms. It's good to be dorky. Or should I say "slightly OCD"?
